SEE BRIDGE Project started its journey with a strong consortium!

SEE BRIDGE Project, which aims to support social economy SMEs and intermediary organisations operating in energy-intensive industries to adapt to green and digital processes and the SDCC process, is supported by the European Commission’s Single Market Programme.

The aim of the SEE BRIDGE project is to support social economy small and medium-sized enterprises (SE SMEs) operating in energy-intensive industries to increase their capacity and accelerate their transition to green and digital production. In particular, the project aims to help achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal in the context of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and will offer various training, counselling and financial support tools. Thus, it is planned to increase the sharing of information on CBAM and other environmental regulations and to promote cooperation and interaction between these enterprises.

Social economy refers to a business model in which businesses do not only aim to make profit but also focus on social and environmental objectives. SE SMEs in the target group of the project are enterprises operating in energy intensive sectors and face challenges related to green and digital transformation. The CBAM will oblige importers in the EU to obtain carbon certificates corresponding to the carbon footprint of the products they import, which will impact energy-intensive industries.

During the 24-month project, effective activities will be carried out towards these objectives.
